The trial of national security adviser, col.sambo Dansuki before an FCT High court was stalled yesterday following his application to stop the trial,in asking for a discharge dansuki argued that the discharge could not be lawfully prosecuted by a government that is in brazon disobedience of a lawful court order.Alternatively the ex-NSA asked for an order staying the proceedings until he has exhausted available remedies for the enforcement of his right to liberty as preserved by the bail order granted him.Rotimi Jacobs (SAN)the prosecution counsel, opposed the application on the grounds that the povission of section 306 of the administration of criminal justice ACT (ACJA)do not permit the court to entertaining any application in course of criminal trial. He submitted that the application was meant to delay the trial justice Hussein Baba yusuf adjourned the case to february 4 for ruling.
